Etkiniko — Privacy Policy and Terms of Use

1. Privacy Policy

1.1 Data Controller

This app ("Etkiniko") is operated by Yavuz Selim Kurnaz (the "data controller"). For questions and requests: destek@etkiniko.com

1.2 Data We Collect

When you use Etkiniko, the following information may be collected:

• Account information (email sign-up): Your email address, name and password. Your password is stored only in irreversibly encrypted (hashed) form; we cannot see it.
• Sign in with Apple: The Apple user identifier, your email address and, if you choose to share it, your name, as provided to us by Apple. If you use "Hide My Email", Apple provides a relay address (…@privaterelay.appleid.com) instead of your real address; Apple forwards emails sent to this address to you, and we never see your real address.
• Sign in with Google: The Google account identifier, your email address, your name and a link to your profile photo, as provided to us by Google. In the app we only use your name and email address.
• User ID: A random identifier (UUID) assigned to your account, used to associate your data with your account.
• Your name: Shown on your account screen; it may also be visible to the relevant venue managers, for example when you are added to a venue's team or join a guest list.
• Favorites, follows and preferences: Events you favorite or mark as attending, venues and organizers you follow, your event preferences (music genre, event type, venue type), your notification preferences and your in-app notifications.
• Preferences kept on your device: Your language and city preference and your recent searches are stored only on your device and are not sent to our servers.
• Location: If you grant permission, your device's approximate location is used only on your device to determine your city and district. Your location is not sent to or stored on our servers, and no location history is kept. Looking up the city name from your location is done by your device's operating system service (Apple on iOS, Google on Android).
• Guest list entries: When you join an event's guest list or add people to your entry, the full name and phone number of you and the people you add, and the check-in time at the door. When adding other people, you confirm that you have their consent to share this information.
• Support messages: The topic and message you send through the in-app support form, stored together with your account's email address and user ID so that we can reply to you.
• Suggestions: If you submit an event/venue suggestion, the information you submit (name, description, contact information if provided). If you are signed in, the suggestion is associated with your account.
• Photos: Only venue and event managers can upload photos to the venues and events they manage; uploaded photos are shown publicly in the app. Your photo library is accessed only for the photo you select.
• Calendar: When you tap "Add to calendar", the event is added to your device's calendar. The contents of your calendar are not sent to our servers.
• Error and performance data: When the app crashes or an error occurs, an error report (error message, related screen, device model, operating system and app version), together with performance measurements from a portion of app sessions (screen load and network request times), is sent to the Sentry service. This data is not linked to your account; your name, email address or session information is not sent.
• Anonymous usage statistics: Taps on ticket and venue links (which event/venue, link type, city) and event view counts are collected without being linked to your account.
• Abuse prevention: To enforce limits on suggestions, support messages and similar submissions, your IP address is kept briefly in one-way encrypted (hashed) form; your IP address itself is not stored.

Etkiniko does not show ads, does not track you across other companies' apps and websites, and does not access your advertising identifier.

1.3 How We Use Data

Collected data is used only for the following purposes:

• Creating your account and enabling sign-in with Apple, Google or email,
• Offering you the most relevant event/venue recommendations,
• Running the favorites, follow, preference and notification features,
• Passing your guest list entry to the relevant venue and enabling verification at the door,
• Responding to your support requests,
• Detecting and fixing errors and keeping the app working properly,
• Preventing abuse,
• Fulfilling legal obligations.

Your data is not shared with or sold to third parties for advertising purposes.

Names and phone numbers in guest list entries are shared only with the managers of the venue hosting that event, for verification at the door; the door screen shows only the last 4 digits of the phone number. Venue managers can also add guests to the list; in that case they confirm that they have the guest's consent. This information is automatically deleted (anonymized) 30 days after the event.

1.4 Service Providers and Where Data Is Stored

• Supabase (database, authentication, file storage): Your data is stored on servers in the European Union (Frankfurt, Germany).
• Sentry (error and performance monitoring): Processed in the European Union (Frankfurt, Germany) region.
• Apple and Google: Only to verify your identity if you sign in with these methods.

Ticket and venue links in the app take you to third-party websites; their own privacy policies apply.

1.5 Account Deletion

You can permanently delete your account and associated data at any time from within the app: Account → Settings → Account → Delete Account.

When you delete your account, your account, profile, favorites, attendance records, follows, notifications, support messages and your own guest list entries are permanently deleted. Suggestions you submitted may be retained anonymously, detached from your account.

If you signed in with Apple (or Apple is linked to your account), you will be asked to confirm with Apple during deletion, and the access authorization (token) Apple granted to Etkiniko is revoked with Apple; Etkiniko is removed from the "Sign in with Apple" apps list in your Apple ID settings.

Because error reports are not linked to your account, they are deleted automatically at the end of Sentry's retention period.

1.6 Your Rights (under KVKK)

Under Turkish Personal Data Protection Law No. 6698 ("KVKK"), you have the right to:

• Learn whether your personal data is processed,
• Request information about it if it has been processed,
• Learn the purpose of processing and whether it is used in line with that purpose,
• Request correction if it has been processed incompletely or inaccurately,
• Permanently delete your account and all associated data from within the app (see 1.5).

1.7 Children's Privacy

Etkiniko is not designed for individuals under 18. We do not knowingly collect data from individuals under 18.

1.8 Changes

This policy may be updated from time to time. You will be notified within the app of significant changes.

2. Terms of Use

2.1 Nature of the Service

Etkiniko is a discovery/listing platform that lets users discover events (parties, concerts, festivals, etc.) in their city. Etkiniko:

• Does not organize the events listed in the app,
• Is not an employee, representative or partner of event venues, organizers or third parties,
• Does not sell tickets; ticket links redirect to third-party platforms.

2.2 Disclaimer

• Attending an event is entirely at the user's own risk.
• Etkiniko cannot be held liable for any incident that may occur at listed events (including physical, financial or emotional harm).
• The accuracy of event information (date, time, price, venue, etc.) is the responsibility of the organizers; Etkiniko does not guarantee that this information is up to date.
• Users cannot hold Etkiniko liable for transactions made on third-party ticketing platforms.

2.3 User Obligations

• You must create your account with accurate and up-to-date information.
• You accept that the suggestions/content you submit through the app are lawful and accurate.
• You may not use the app in a way that is unlawful, harmful or infringes the rights of others.

2.4 Intellectual Property

The Etkiniko name, logo and app interface belong to Etkiniko. They may not be copied or reproduced without permission.

2.5 Changes to and Termination of the Service

Etkiniko reserves the right to modify, suspend or terminate the service without prior notice.

2.6 Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Türkiye.
